Air shafts and chucks
MODEL D Lug Type Airshaft - Single Bladder
These two models are designed
to rewind and unwind rolls of variable widths, these shafts are strong and
rigid. They are suitable for heavy roll weights and considerable web tension
values. So much so that one or more rolls may be used on the same shaft.
Cantilever shafts with flange or with journal mounting may be designed for
cantilever applications.
MODEL DCI Lug Type Shaft with Internal Leaves
- Single Bladder
They are suitable for
cardboard, plastic, or steel cores. They are made of steel, aluminium, or
lightweight composite. Depending on the application, they will feature
aluminium, steel or polyurethane lugs. Lugs may be changed from the outside of
the shaft without dismantling the shaft/bladder. All Airmat shafts are custom
made, and this is how we ensure that our product is perfect for your needs. The
engineers give priority to stresses such as torque, load and speed in order to
exceed your requirements.
MODEL FRB Airshaft with friction rings
Designed to rewind several rolls on the same
shaft at a constant torque, in spite of the thickness variations of the product
being converted. Its construction makes it possible to have, on the same shaft,
all the cores rotating at different speeds. This airshaft is suitable for very
narrow-widths, 11-mm cores.
It may be equipped with a rotating joint to enable rewind at a constant
tension.
Maintenance is made easier by using standard and interchangeable friction rings

load and speed in order to exceed your requirements. The model FRB Airshaft
construction range is suitable for cores with a diameter of 40, 70, 76, 100 and150 mm.
MODELS AS - EAS -MAS Pneumatic
Adapter with Sleeve
Designed
to used on their own, or in pairs on existing shafts.
They are suited for the use of narrow cores. Easily fitted, they are
particularly useful for light applications, troubleshooting, and limited uses. Our
Model EAS is made of aluminium. In order to achieve lighter weights during
handling operations.
Model AS is made of polypropylene. We developed a new more
compact model in aluminium suitable for core diameters of 150mm: the MAS. All Airmat
adapters are custom made, and this is how we ensure that our product is perfect
for your needs. Our engineers
give priority to stresses such as torque, load and speed in order to exceed
your requirements.
The Model AS - EAS – MAS adapter construction range is suitable for cores with
a diameter from 70 to 300mm.
MODEL MP
Air-mechanical Chuck

Designed
for so-called “distance between centres” machines, with moving frame, these
chucks are either used on their own with a stationary centre, or twinned.
Our chucks may be fitted with lugs (Model MPT),
or leaves (Model MPCO).
These chucks are designed for applications combining high torque and heavy
weights. |
